Tagua Gunleather – Please Read Before Use
Last Updated: May 28, 2026
Firearms are inherently dangerous instruments and must be handled with the utmost care at all times. Improper handling, storage, or use of a firearm or related accessories may result in serious injury or death.
Tagua Gunleather strongly recommends that all individuals handling firearms have completed a recognized firearms safety training program and are familiar with the safe operation of their specific firearm before use.
Firearms must always be stored securely and kept out of reach of children and unauthorized individuals.
Any person handling a firearm must always assume that the firearm is loaded, regardless of perceived condition. Extreme caution must be exercised during handling, storage, transportation, holstering, and unholstering.
Tagua Gunleather products—including leather holsters, nylon holsters, shoulder holsters, ankle holsters, belly bands, magazine carriers, belts, and other accessories—are accessories only and do not replace proper training, situational awareness, or safe firearm handling practices.
Before using any Tagua Gunleather product with your firearm:
Tagua Gunleather holsters are designed to fit factory-standard firearms. Modifications to firearms—including aftermarket triggers, trigger shoes, grip extensions, optics, lights, lasers, compensators, or other alterations—may affect holster compatibility and safety.
Do not modify or alter any Tagua Gunleather product to accommodate a firearm or accessory for which it was not designed. Alterations may compromise retention, safety, and structural integrity.
While every effort is made to provide accurate compatibility information, firearm manufacturers frequently update designs, dimensions, and specifications. It is the user's responsibility to verify compatibility using the actual firearm and configuration.
Users must regularly inspect all products—including holsters, straps, belt loops, clips, snaps, screws (if applicable), and any mounting hardware—for wear, looseness, or damage. If any product appears worn, damaged, loose, or unsafe, discontinue use immediately.
Carrying a firearm in any condition involves risk. Some firearms and carry methods increase the likelihood of unintentional discharge if not handled properly.
Tagua Gunleather does not dictate carry condition. The user must follow:
Consult your firearm's owner's manual for proper and safe carry recommendations.
When holstering a firearm:
A secure fit helps prevent firearm loss but may create resistance during holstering—especially with new leather. Always holster deliberately and with attention to firearm alignment and position.
Never attempt to manipulate the firearm's controls while it is inside the holster.
If your holster includes retention features (passive retention, thumb break, straps, etc.), they must be properly engaged and checked regularly.
During strenuous or dynamic movement, users should maintain awareness of firearm security. No holster eliminates the need for responsible firearm control.
Some products may include adjustable components or hardware. These are not preset and must be checked by the user before use.
Retention hardware (if applicable) should be inspected regularly. Following the manufacturer's guidance for care and maintenance may extend product life and performance.
Carrying a firearm is a serious responsibility requiring constant awareness. Users must be prepared to prevent unauthorized access or weapon retention incidents.
Individuals carrying firearms in professional or high-risk environments should follow applicable training standards, operational guidelines, and best practices relevant to their role.
Tagua Gunleather assumes no responsibility for misuse, improper handling, failure to follow safety guidelines, or use of products with incompatible or modified firearms. Users accept full responsibility for safe firearm handling and compliance with all applicable laws.
